Becoming a CPA in Ohio

MEET THE EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Complete 150 semester hours. 30 semester hours must be in accounting.

Must complete during an 18 month time frame. Each section is 3-4 hours.

Ohio requires 3 hours of Ethics education.

Have one year of accounting experience, verified by a CPA. Internships count!

Complete the forms required by the Accountancy Board of Ohio.

The check is completed through the Bureau of Criminal Investigation & Identification.

The Accounting Careers Leadership Academy (ACLA; formerly the ASCEND Leadership Conference) is an exciting professional development opportunity to help college students from all backgrounds prepare for a successful future in the accounting industry. Participants will hear from leaders in the profession as they highlight the limitless possibilities of a career as a CPA.

When: Monthly virtual series May 19, July 7, September 15 & a wrap-up luncheon on November 12, 2021 
Cost: There is no cost for students to attend
